Protein Creme Brulee

 

 

 

Ingredients:

  • 120ml Fat-reduced Coconut milk

  • 3 tbsp NUA Naturals Pea protein

  • 1 tsp. NUA Naturals Coconut Palm Sugar
    – optional: a few drops of caramel food flavouring

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Instructions:

  • Mix coconut milk and pea protein.

  • Pour into a ramekin.

  • Bake for 20-25 min around 220C.

  • Remove from oven.

  • Spread a tiny bit of coconut palm sugar over the custard.

  • Place dish under broiler until sugar melts, about 2 minutes. Watch carefully so as not to burn.

(Normally you’re supposed to caramelise the topping with a blowtorch. If you don’t own one, just place the custard under a very hot grill until golden and bubbling).

  • Remove from heat and allow to cool. Refrigerate until custard is set.
